Glamour Bunny S/S 2021 Fashion Editorial Shoot

Mar 3, 2021 | Personal Branding

Hello, gorgeous! Spring is finally upon us and, I don’t know about you, but after a winter of lockdown I’m 100% ready to hang up my winter coat, pull my warmer wardrobe out of storage and start making the most of those extra-long sunny days, I know there’s a few of you who, like me, appreciate a little touch of vintage styling in your life, so if you’re looking for a little bit of wardrobe inspiration for the next few months, you might find today’s content rather handy – as I’m sharing my latest work on the Glamour Bunny S/S 2021 Fashion Editorial Shoot.

Glamour Bunny was established in June 2008 by UK-based designer Gerry Roxby, with the aim to provide women all around the world with dresses that fit perfectly and hug their curves in all the right ways. More than 12 years later, the brand (now based in the Netherlands) is still dedicated to creating beautifully tailored, high-quality vintage-inspired pinup clothing, featuring striking, colourful pieces guaranteed to turn heads and make their clients stand out from the crowd.

The theme for this fashion editorial was ‘Summer Dreams Written In Neon Lights‘, pulling inspiration from American vintage, with a heavy focus on vintage cars and pop art pink. When looking for a location, there was one place that instantly sprung to mind: Planet Sputnik.

The shoot took place towards the end of last autumn, which meant navigating our way not only around the unpredictable weather but also multiple lockdowns! We have every provision in place in case of another lockdown, but as it happened we had managed to pick the best day of the season to shoot, with bright sunny skies (bar a quick midday shower) and lots of hard sunlight that really did at times make it look like an American summer… despite the super cold temperatures – it was so cold that we were wrapping up model Blossom&Buttercups (aka Sam) in blankets between shots!

Most of the editorial fashion work I post throughout my portfolio is usually retouched to some extent, but as Glamour Bunny requested unedited shots from this shoot, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give you a little bit of insight into my fashion editorial shooting style and how my RAW images look straight out of the camera. These images have had, at most, a slight exposure tweak and a touch of white balance, to harmonise them as a collection.
